Roof Top Balcony, Rear Extension & Interior Refurbishmnent- London N5 (continued)

interior view 2

Interior works- kitchen/ dining/ living area: The lowering of the existing floor level in the kitchen area creates a level threshold connection with the garden spaces.
This in turn allows an increase in ceiling height within the kitchen. The glass sliding doors exploit this, allowing additional daylight and views out into the landscaped garden to enter the deep interior of the principle spaces of domestic activity: dining/ living areas.

Between formal dining area and kitchen, internal balconies with glass balustrades that double up as potential seating areas are introduced. Looking over into the kitchen from the formal dining space, they encourage  moments of reflection and views out towards the new garden beyond.
